To avoid burning out when you’re continuously working, follow the 20-20-20 rule. After 20 minutes of work, don’t forget to look at something 20 feet away, then spend 20 years in the mountains. 🤣 At least that’s what I feel like doing.

Idk about you but this last quarter of the year has crept up on me and I’m tired 😅 If you can’t find me at work one day, you know where to look 😉

MUST DO HIKE IN THE DOLOMITES ⬇️

If you’re looking for a hike that is
- short and easy
- has beautiful panoramic views throughout
- less crowded
- unique from the rest of the Dolomites with its jagged peaks

📍Cadini di Misurina, Auronzo di Cadore, Italy

HIKE DETAILS:

🥾 3km to the photo spot, 690ft elevation gain (short and steep)
🗺️ Download the offline AllTrails map since this one can get confusing with converging trails including multi day hikes.
‼️Make sure to wear hiking shoes especially if you’re planning on going up the ridge to the photo spot - it can be very slippery!
🕚 Plan 1-2 hours. Go early in the morning (before 9am) since the large lot can fill up quickly.
☀️ Best to go in the early or late summer, when the trail is snow-free.
🚗 2h driving from Venice, Italy. Closest tourist town to the hike is Cortina.
🎫 To enter the park, 30€ toll per car, 20€ per motorcycle, 40€ per van. Additional 15€ to spend the night in your camper van.
📈If you have time, hike Tre Cime di Lavaredo (10km) too as it starts off at the same spot.
🪨 The trail continues on beyond the photo spot if you want to go on and you will see multi day hikers
🚽 Bring change for paid squat toilets only (1€) or food at the refuge

PHOTO TIPS:

🤳The photo point now has a rope for a queue. Please wait your turn even if you’re only flying out a drone.
📸Perfect place to use your zoom lens if you have one!
✍️Make sure you plan out your photos before you go and if there’s a line, spend no more than 5 mins getting your shots so others can go.
🎞️ You don’t necessarily need to stand at the photo point for epic photos. There are panoramic spots the whole way especially if you continue along the trail past the photo spot.

@hydroflask.ca asked us to share a favourite park in Ontario and we’d say, hands down, it’s this one!

That’s because Bruce Peninsula is so beautiful and has so many different things to do that you’ll never get bored. It’s a hidden gem in Canada and it’s true that the waters are as blue as they are in Mexico!

We had so much fun putting together this list of endless activities for people (and dogs) of all ages and abilities, while staying hydrated with our lightweight trail Hydroflasks.

The park is 3️⃣ hours driving from Toronto and features:
🔹Caribbean-crystal-blue waters
🔹Challenging hikes along the Bruce Trail
🔹Million-year-old craters from the ice age

TOP 10 THINGS TO DO:
🏝Swim in the blue waters at the beach (Rush Cove, Singing Sands beach)

🥾 Hike the numerous trails - the famous Bruce Trail ends here!

🪨Explore caves and geological wonders

⛴Take the ferry to Flowerpot Island

🤿Scuba Dive to see the shipwreck ruins

🛶 Kayak, canoe or SUP in blue waters

🌌 Meet astronomers and stargaze through telescopes at Open Air Pod or join the astronomy club at Lion’s Head

ONE DAY VENICE ITINERARY for a stopover on your mountain roadtrip through Italy ⬇️

You’ll likely start or end your Dolomites trip in Venice as the airport is only 2h away (Milan is further).

This is where we ended the Dolomites part of our trip, dropped off the rental car, immersed ourselves in Italian culture, ate a ton of pasta and gelato, and took the night train to our next country.

Venice is a very walkable city. If you plan on going into any museums, check online to see if bookings required and plan extra time (you may need more than one day to do an in depth cultural tour or visit Murano/Burano).

After visiting Venice again and recollecting memories from 10+ years ago, here’s our shortlist!

📍 Fondamenta Zattere al Ponte Longo
📍Ponte Dell’Accademia - Best view of Venice!

Cross the Canal - Explore the other side.

📍Doge’s Palace
📍Piazza San Marco
📍Explore Canals - Start at Riva Degli Schiavoni, cross Ponte della Paglia, and find the Bridge of Sighs.
📍Museo Storico Navale
📍Livraria Água Alta

You can add/cut-out as needed but make sure you hit up the iconic spots!

- Baci & Pasta - a good budget option if you’re in a pinch
- Make sure to eat Bigoli pasta (which is typically only served in non touristy restaurants. it originated from Venice!) Ask for the non tourist menu.
- Best gelato at Leonardo’s

‼️HIDDEN GEM: if you’ve always wanted to take a photo on a Venetian gondola but don’t want to spend 80-100€, head to Libreria Aqua Alta! Go through the bookstore to the back where there is a gondola in the water to use for FREE!
