Save this itinerary for the best spring roadtrip near Vancouver with friends!! 🚗💨🌷🏔️🦋

I’m the type of adventurer that will pack a variety of activities into one day but it won’t feel jam packed or rushed til you look back on the day and realize how much you’ve done 🤭

This is exactly what happened this past weekend, and a daytrip like this requires packing for every possible option from swimming, hiking or looking cute for photos. Of course snacks are mandatory to keep everyone happy!

I felt like there isn’t a more appropriate time to fill up my trusty @thenorthface Basecamp Duffel. I have the size small which is 50L. It’s like a Mary Poppins bag which has space for all the things the girls would need on a roadtrip! (#AD)

Here’s what you would do in the ideal itinerary for a daytrip to Eastern Fraser Valley:
1. At 8am start driving from Vancouver and about 1.5 hours later you’ll reach your first coffee stop at @cedarandmosscoffee
2. Go to @harrisontulipfest and admire the flowers (it’s dog friendly!) The tulip festival was so kind to host us and we got to make our own flower crowns, bouquets, and eat good food from the food trucks
3. If you want to head back west go eat at District 1881 in Chilliwack where there are a ton of pretty boutique stores and good restaurants
4. We opted to lay on the beach / go for a cold dip at Harrison Hot Springs but there are other great options closer to Chilliwack
5. Next we wanted to get a little bit of forest therapy in so we did a nature walk to Bridal Falls. I would also recommend Elk Mountain nearby which is a harder hike
6. Lastly after dinner end your day at @botanicaflowerfestival. We were grateful they hosted us. You can pick as many tulips as you can as souvenirs, and make sure you drive home quickly to keep them alive.

🚨PSA: It’s the last weekend to see the tulips at both farms!!

The week just kept getting better and better… Mo

The week just kept getting better and better… Mountains, beaches, forests, tulip fields, and dogs all in the same week? My cup is so full from the past 9 days of outdoor adventures in both rain and sunshine!! 🫶🏻

Since you guys loved our last post showing you a real week in the life of two busy Vancouverites, here’s Part 2, an honest recount of what happened over the week or so.

Save this for inspo of things to do in Vancouver in the spring ❤️ We love post-work side quests! Even with working multiple jobs, we try to get outdoors and make the most of the increasing daylight hours every day. For any spot where I didn’t share the location, it’s just for safety! feel free to follow + dm me if you want the name of the locations.

I decided to post something a little different tod

I decided to post something a little different today.🙃

I’ve been thinking about how Earth Day always brings a lot of conversation around caring for the planet, but also how easy it is to treat it like an annual reminder instead of something that should be a part of our everyday.

The outdoors doesn’t really need a day of awareness. It needs quieter and more consistent choices from us when no one’s really watching every day.

For example…taking a moment to understand whose land we’re on before we step onto it. Staying on trail even when it’s easier not to. Being a bit more thoughtful about geotagging and sharing locations widely on social media. Picking up what isn’t ours and leaving things a little better than we found them. And staying informed and supporting the people and groups doing the unglamorous work of protecting these spaces.

It’s not complicated but it does take thoughtfulness and intention. No one is perfect, but as a creator in the outdoor space I feel like I have the duty to talk about how we can be more intentional about our impact as we recreate in the places we care about.

All this to say, earth day isn’t just a reminder of the privilege we have … it’s a check in on what we’re choosing to do with the rest of the days, and I think there’s something comforting about that :)
